With all its warm colors and lush greenery, you would never guess that this exotic styled wedding shoot took place in a greenhouse in the middle of an Ohio winter. This ‘wedding for all seasons’ that I was so fortunate to take part in was curated by a talented group of Columbus, Ohio wedding vendors, including photographer Rachel Joy Baransi and Stylist Meredith at Auburn + Ivory Creative.
For this shoot, we wanted to convey an unexpected take on a spring wedding color palette, and we did just that with the combination of mimosa yellow, blush pink, pool blue and burgundy. Also, check out those classic silver furnishings instead of oh-so-trendy gold or copper. We’re bringing silver back, people.
In addition to the spring color palette, we wanted to incorporate subtle hints of geometry, so I designed a geometric watercolor wedding invitation and used bright pops of yellow mimosa for the envelope liner. Sidenote: I’m super fond of that mimosa. Something about it screams ‘Dr. Seuss’, but in a good way.
Matching watercolor menus, table numbers, and hand lettered watercolor place cards were created for the table top.
This photo shoot was such an enjoyable experience! Much love to the wonderful and talented Columbus wedding vendors who made this all possible.
